While it’s all over the internet, talk shows, and radio shows the question of “how to feel better about myself” is prevalent.  I sometimes do not understand how with all the information out there, how one can lack self esteem.  Then when I see all the horrible images and info in the world, I can certainly see.

So I just want to help the average person out there who struggles with this whether, they do so outwardly or inwardly, I want to give some simple, easy ways to feel better about yourself.

Because all things in life start in our mind; we are in control of much.  If you’ve been negatively affected from your childhood there is a way to grow above it.  Many who have had troubled childhoods have mentioned that the overcoming battle was won by living in the present with optimistic views of the future?  So where does this leave the past?  All you have to do is have discretion about situations you come upon.

For instance, if you were hurt by a previous relationship, you shouldn’t close the doors on every relationship in the future.  But when you meet someone new and you see similar characteristics, you should proceed with discretion.

So let’s get to these simple ways to answer the question of “how to feel better about myself.”  One thing you can do is to repeatedly say to yourself something positive or think of positive things.  Something that is sure to make you smile will invoke positive feelings and emotions.

Another action you can take is to get in the mirror and tell yourself, “I like myself.”  This will feel weird and corny to begin with but if you do it; you will notice yourself laughing or smiling at yourself.  This is good because the positive emotions that comes from laughter.  The ultimate thing is that you’ll tell your subconscious something that it probably rarely hears.  This is that, you like yourself.

Another way to feel better about yourself is to do what you really enjoy!  For years I stopped playing basketball in order to chase and establish a business and career.  I found that I just didn’t like things and it was simply because I wasn’t doing something as simple as going to the gym and shooting some hoops.

I feel much better by simply doing what I enjoy.  Do what you enjoy, make time for it, set apart time for it, because it will make you feel better about yourself.

Research shows it is also good to read a book or listen to the audio 6 times within a month to really understanding and gain more insight on life and that topic.  Repetition is the key.  Please try this as soon as possible.
